Creating a new leep

What other Leaders can see and do when you share a leep with them

Write your leep

  1. Tap the + button in the bottom toolbar.

  2. Pick one of the suggested leeps, or type or speak your own.

If you ask more than one thing at once, leep splits them into separate leeps so you can review each one on its own.

Review your draft

leep looks at what you've written and turns it into a draft root leep. You can edit the draft as much as you like until you send it. Once it's been sent, you won't be able to edit the question, but can change all other settings.

Choose your settings

Frequency. Choose how often the leep goes to your Team and how long it keeps going. If you only want to ask once, choose Once-off.

Recipients. Send it to individual people, whole Teams or both. You can send a leep to as many people as you like. If you've missed someone, you can also create a new Team or invite new team members from this page.

Who can see responses. Pick Only me, or Shared with Leaders to give other Leaders on your Team access to the responses.

What shared Leaders can do

If you share a leep with other Leaders, those Leaders get full visibility of the leep and everything it produces. Only you can edit it. Once you share a leep, those Leaders can:

  • See the leep on their leeps page, alongside the leeps they created themselves

  • Read every response, including full transcripts

  • See its Signals on their homepage

  • Get notifications when new responses come in

  • Get its Signals in their Morning Brief

  • Query its data in Ask, so it's included when they search Team Memory

What shared Leaders can't do

Shared Leaders can't edit the leep. The leep's settings can only be changed by the Leader who created it.

Can anyone change the original leep question?

No. Once a leep is live, nobody can edit the root leep, not even the Leader who created it. Changing the wording would change what every team member is responding to, which would break the link between new and earlier responses and the Signals built from them. If you need to ask something different, create a new leep.
