Do my team need the leep mobile app to respond?
No, your team doesn't need to download the leep mobile app to answer leep questions. Teams can answer leep questions by email, Slack or Microsoft Teams, on mobile or desktop.
They simply open link that is sent to them vie email, Slack or Microsoft Team and respond via a webpage, with no download and no login required.
Team members can type responses, select multi-choice questions or have a conversation with leep - similar to recording a voice note. This creates a free-flow of information that leep uses to create Signals and Actions you can take.
Can my team answer by voice?
Yes, team members can have a conversation with leep and record their responses much like a voice note. leep learns the preferences of your team and will deliver the day’s question to them in their preferred format, however they can change at any time.
Research indicates that conversational formats provide far richer, longer and deeper information than static text form surveys. In a side by side comparison, conversation generated 39% more information, answers 41% longer, and more than double the completion rate of written surveys (Xiao et al., 2020).
How long does it take to respond to a leep?
leeps are designed to be fast and frictionless, so that your team can share their thoughts and then get on with their day. It usually takes a minute or two for team members to respond to a question, and from their they can choose to elaborate and keep chatting if they have more to share. Multiple choice questions and yes/no responses are even faster, and only take seconds to complete.
What does my team see when responding to a leep?
leep makes it clear to your team that individual responses aren't anonymous and are always visible to their Leader (you!) That's deliberate, and so is the information flowing back down to team members. The reason behind this is simple: people keep contributing when they can see their input actually went somewhere.
Your team will be able to view three layers of information via leep.
Themes around their own intelligence summarised over time, so they can see what they've raised and when.
An email when you acknowledge something specific they've told you via leep.
Aggregated, anonymous themes when enough people on the team say something similar, sent by email or shown with their next leep. Themes stay anonymous and stay at the level of "4 people mentioned onboarding friction this week".
Raw responses can only be seen by you, the Leader if you want to dive deep. Voice recordings are not stored, which means you won't be able to listen to the actual voice recording of the team member, just the transcript of what they said.
What if my team wants to share their thoughts outside of a leep?
We encourage team members to share their thoughts whenever convenient, even if this falls outside the usual cadence of leep questions. Every email, Slack or Microsoft Teams message from leep contains a link which allows a team member to create a new leep at any time. Or, team members can simply open up an old leep question and start chatting there.
